Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Apple (peeled & chopped)
  • 1 cup Pear (peeled & chopped) optional
  • ½ cup Seedless grapes
  • ½ cup Pomegranate arils (seeds)
  • ½ cup Chopped strawberries (or other berry / seasonal fruit) optional
  • Chaat masala about ½ tsp (adjust to taste)
  • Black salt or regular salt ¼ tsp or to taste
  • 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl

Method

  1. Wash all the fruits thoroughly under running water.
  2. Peel and core the apple and pear (if using), then chop them into bite-sized pieces. Slice grapes if large, and remove pomegranate arils. Chop strawberries (or other optional fruits) into small pieces.
  3. Place all chopped fruits (apple, pear, grapes, pomegranate arils, strawberries) into a large mixing bowl.
  4. Sprinkle chaat masala and salt over the fruits. Then squeeze fresh lemon juice on top.
  5. Gently toss the fruits until everything is evenly coated with spices and lemon juice. Do not mash the fruits.
  6. Taste and adjust salt or lemon juice if needed. Serve immediately as a refreshing, healthy snack.

Notes

Use fresh seasonal fruits for the best flavour and nutrition. Add banana just before serving if using, to avoid browning. Serve chilled for a refreshing taste. You may add a few chopped mint leaves for extra freshness.
