
Healthy Indian Puffed Rice Salad
A light, crunchy and nutritious puffed-rice salad — easy to make, full of fresh veggies, herbs and Indian flavors. Perfect as a healthy snack or light meal.

- Take a large mixing bowl and add the puffed rice (murmura).
- Add the finely chopped tomato, cucumber and red onion to the bowl.
- Add chopped coriander leaves for freshness.
- Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, chaat masala and black salt (or regular salt) over the mixture.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over everything and toss gently but thoroughly so that spices coat the puffed rice evenly.
- Taste and adjust salt or spice as needed. Serve immediately to keep the puffed rice crunchy.
Notes
For extra crunch and nutrition, you can add a small handful of roasted peanuts or sprouted moong beans. Avoid adding sev or farsan if you want to keep this light and healthy.
