
Lauki Momos
Light, healthy and easy Lauki Momos made with tender bottle gourd, whole wheat dough and simple spices. Perfect for a nutritious homemade snack.

Method
- In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Add water slowly and knead into a soft dough. Rest it for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze the grated lauki to remove extra moisture. Add onion, ginger, chilli, pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each into a thin small circle.
- Place a spoonful of lauki filling in the center. Fold and seal the momos properly.
- Grease the steamer plate with a little oil. Arrange the momos with some space between them.
- Steam for 10–12 minutes on medium heat until the momos turn firm and glossy.
- Serve hot with spicy chutney or mint dip.
Notes
You can add finely chopped coriander or grated carrot to increase the fibre content. Squeezing lauki well helps avoid soggy momos.
